Information about Sunrise Yoga

  • Wear comfortable clothing and bare feet in class.
  • We advise an empty stomach at least two hours prior to the class.
  • Please arrive 5 minutes early to class.
  • No Classes on public holidays.

Sunrise Hatha Yoga: PLEASE Booking is essential
You will learn more about your own body than ever before. Gentle warm up is followed by asanas. Each session will give an excellent yoga work out. You discover your true strength energy.

  • We provide mat, cushion and ball.

Therapy Yoga: PLEASE Booking is essential
60 minutes one to one yoga session or a group yoga workout with yogic therapy that will give you energy. The tutor will assist your body in order to provide opportunities for the body to resist various health disorders and bring harmony and new energy.

Early Bird Class:
The early bird class is designed for those who enjoy an early start to the day. It is a special time for you to revitalize your body for the day. A special sequence of asana makes this a unique opportunity to start the day.

Open Class for All Ages:
open class is designed for everyone who is able and proficient to keep up with the tutor! Beginner to medium yoga levels. Experience an effect similar to a bird learning to soar in the limitless sky.

Yoga for Beginners:
: Yoga enhances your performance in your job, sports and also revitalizes you. It can bring a new outlook to life and improve your health through postures with traditional hatha yoga

Yoga for Improvers:
Once you learn the yoga positions, you may wish to improve and join with more experienced students. Discover in depth yoga knowledge and fulfill your goal for healthy living.

Yoga for Children 4 to 9 years, Youth (Age 10 to 14):
A fun introduction to yoga using games. Learn to improve postures and concentration through yoga. Yoga for children and youth is designed to give an opportunity to introduce poses to help the body mind and balance energy. through a 60-minute yoga workout.

Core Yoga for All Ages:
Core Yoga is designed to give an opportunity to introduce poses to help body strength. Chair yoga, ball yoga and some hatha yoga poses provide some challenges in this workout. Core yoga provides good coordination, balance with motions and an exercise that will provide good stability

Arka-Dhyana Intuitive Meditation
the Intuitive Method (IM), also called Arka-Dhyana, is a practical, step-by-step approach to exploring one’s true potential and being in harmony within oneself. About Sunrise Yoga

The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning yoke or union. The aim of this ancient Eastern practice is to create unity between the self and the outer world, and to resolve inner turmoil in order to help us achieve our full potential.

The science of Yoga is one of several unique contributions of India to the world. It seeks to discover and realise the ultimate reality through yogic practices.

Acharya Patanjali, the founder, hailed from the district Gonda (Gondard) in Utter Pradesh. He prescribed the control of prana (life breath) as the means to control the body, mind and soul. This subsequently rewards one with good health and inner happiness.

Acharya Patanjali's 84 yogic postures effectively enhance the efficiency of the respiratory, circulatory, nervous, digestive and endocrine systems and many other systems in the body. Yoga has eight limbs where Acharya Patanjali shows attainment of the ultimate bliss of god in samadhi through the disciplines of: yam, niyam, asan, pranayam, pratyahar, dhyan and dharna.

The science of yoga has gained popularity because of its scientific approach and benefits. Yoga also holds the honoured place as one of the six philosophies in the Indian philosophical system.

Acharya Patanjali will forever be remembered and revered as a pioneer in the science of self-discipline, happiness and self-realisation. A powerful antidote to the stresses of modern day life, Yoga is a practical philosophy that aims at uniting the body, mind and spirit for health and fulfilment. Yoga believes that exercise is essential for speedy removal of toxins and for keeping the blood circulation and all internal processes functioning smoothly.

Yoga has also been described as wisdom in work or skillful living amongst activities, harmony and moderation. Yoga destroys all pain and sorrow.

Asanas is derived from Sanskrit, meaning to exercise. Introduced for relation and breath control, you will find that Yoga has the power to calm the mind, increase your concentration and give the ability to cope with tension and well-being.
